Brooks Slip-On Shoes

Slip-On shoes have become quite popular for their convenience and comfort features.

Brooks slip-on shoes offer similar comfort and support features to their regular lace-up shoe models, with the difference of being a slip-on design that requires no lace-up.

Benefits of a Slip-On Shoe

Slip-On shoes may not seem as much, but they hold many benefits;

  • Easy On and Off – For elderly persons or disabled persons, a slip-on shoe can be a lifesaver as it is easier to put on and take off, and there are no laces to struggle with.
  • Quick Change – You can quickly change from your work shoes and slip into comfy slip-on athletic shoes with no fuss of having to deal with laces.
  • Good Fit – Slip-On shoes do offer a comfortable and more relaxed fit. However, you cannot adjust the fit.
  • Comfort Features – Most athletic slip-on shoes have similar comfort features to regular lace-up shoes.

Brooks Slip-On Shoes

Unfortunately, there was not much to choose from in the slip-on shoes from Brooks, yet the ones we have chosen are excellent in their features, much similar to the lace-up models.

We hope to see more slip-on shoe models from brooks, as the ones they already have, have become quite a hit.

Features of a Good Brooks Slip-On Shoe

Although there are not many Brooks Slip-On shoe models available as of yet, we have included a few models that are easy to slip on and off, waiting for more to come.

The features below are what you will find in most Brooks shoe models, slip-on and lace-up models;
Brooks Slip On

  • Uppers – Brooks shoes are available in Lace-Up closure, hook-and-loop Velcro closure, and slip-on stretchable closure models from which you can choose. The uppers can consist of either Leather or mesh. Engineered mesh or Re-engineered Creel wrap mesh may be used with a 3D printed for a more flexible structure. Your mesh models are more breathable and lightweight. Then there are the knit models, of which we have our slip-on with a stretchable opening and sleek fit that is breathable and lined for comfort. For the trail models, you have waterproof mesh or Gore-Tex lined uppers.
  • Cushioning – Brooks shoe models may have a removable cushioned insole or sock liner, which is ideal should you want to use your own orthotic devices. Then Brooks has quite a diverse range of Midsole technology that offers plush and soft to firmer and more durable midsole cushioning and shock absorbency. Their DNA Loft cushioning is the softest and most responsive, with the DNA AMP cushioning that is more energizing and springy in feel. The DNA Flash midsole is a nitrogen-infused midsole that is firm and much more stable. The BioMoGO DNA midsole is used in most of Brook’s shoes because it is adaptable and responsive, as well as the best when it comes to reducing the impact on your joints and deflecting it away from your body.
  • Support -The Guiderail support technology is used in their stability shoe models. You keep excess motion limited, while they also have Rollbar technology that takes the pressure off your feet and allows for more natural alignment. Most neutral shoes will have a cushioned midsole rather than support technology and more Plush Transitioning Zones.
  • Outsole – Most brooks shoes will have a rubber outsole that may be certified slip-resistant or a regular high traction rubber. The sole may vary in heel-to-toe drop. The Trail models have a TrailTack outsole that is a very grippy rubber for traction on wet and dry surfaces.
  • Options – Brooks slip-on shoe models are available in more colors, full and half sizes, and some models do offer wider or narrower width selections from which you can choose to get a good fit for your foot length and width.
