With so many slipper models and designs available, aren’t they? You may wonder which would be the most comfortable and the best choice for you.
Well, today, I would like to introduce you to the loafer-style slipper. The loafer is slipper is a slipper with a closed design that you can easily slip on and off your feet. They come in many styles, such as the moccasin style, and all the regular slip-on styles.
What is a Loafer
Before we get into the actual loafer slippers, let me tell you a bit more about the loafer itself. The loafer is a shoe that you slip on your feet without having any laces to worry about. It made. However, the slipper loafer has a closed back and a more casual style. It’s available in many colors and prints, and it can also be adorned with a fur lining or extra straps.
- Tassel Loafers – Tassel loafers are usually leather loafers or suede leather loafers that have tassels at the top.
- Boat Shoe Loafers – The bugs you loaf is very popular, and it has a very unique. They are casual in design, and they can be worn in both spring and summer.
- Sport Style Loafers – Lastly, I have added the sports loafer, or an athletic slip-on shoe, if you want to be technically correct. It does not have the unique style of a loaf, but it is a slip-on style shoe that will usually have either textile or mesh uppers that are more breathable and comfortable. Athletic loafers feature more comfort and support features and are more suitable for sports running and walking.
Why You Need Good Loafer Slippers
Everybody needs a comfortable pair of slippers to wear at home, or for casual wear. Most slippers are flimsy and uncomfortable and are usually an open-back style, which is not always suitable for winter. Then again, your winter slippers are usually boots, which can also be uncomfortable and challenging to put on and take off.
What I love about the loafers slipper is the fact that it is ideal for warmer and colder weather and you get models in both styles for winter and summer.
Loafers can be lined with a fur or wool lining to keep your feet warm, or they can have a more breathable lining to keep your feet cool in summer.
They are a closed style, which is sometimes safer, especially for elderly persons, as they will not easily slip off of your feet, causing a trip hazard that can cause a fall.
Some loafers style slept can also be used as daily casual shoes, which makes them the ideal leisure shoe for everyday wear.
Features of a Good Loafer Slipper
- Uppers – Loaf of slippers will usually have either genuine or synthetic leather uppers, which will be a softer, brushed leather or a suede leather that is supple and comfortable. You do, however, get other fabrics and textiles that are used to create loafers style slippers.
- Comfort – For comfort, many loafer slippers will come with a cushioned sole, or they will have a foam bed sole for shock absorbency and a comfortable footbed that will offer good support and cushioning for your feet.
- Lining – Depending on whether they are a slipper for summer or winter, the loafers slipper may have wool, synthetic wool, or fleece lining to keep your feet warm and toasty in the winter. The summer models may have a more breathable lining to reduce moisture and to WIC it away.
- Outsole – Now slippers have an outsole that is divided into 2 categories. You have indoor outsoles, and then you have indoor and outdoor outsoles. Slippers with an indoor-only sole usually have a soft leather or suede outsole. Whereas slippers with an indoor and outdoor outsole will have a more durable rubber or EVA outsole.
