When driving you must have full control of your vehicle at all times, especially in an emergency. In emergencies, you need to think fast and act fast.

It’s a much better option to have separate driving shoes that are easy to put on and take off, rather than try to drive the chews that are inappropriate and that could be a hazard for you to drive with.

And they are generally flimsy and uncomfortable to drive with. Not to mention the factor that wins, if you have an accident, your feet are completely open and unprotected.
- Bulky Chunky Soles – She is with bulky and heavy soles such as thick platform-styled soles and very thick wedge styles can be extremely heavy on the pedals and you may not be able to control the amount of pressure that you put on the pedals or have a good feeling about the pedals of your vehicle.
- Slippery Soled Shoes – Lastly, shoes with very slippery soles will easily slip off your car’s pedals, which can cause an accident in turn. These types of shoes are usually dress shoes that have a very smooth, shiny sole.
Shoes for Driving With
As you will see, the actual driving shoe designed specifically for driving is a slip-on loafer-style shoe that is reasonably lightweight. It has a more flexible sole, and it has a lug pattern on the sole which provides a better grip. The shoe offers a comfortable and more snug fit around your feet and gives you a better feel of the pedals so you can control your vehicle much more easily.

- Support and Cushioning – For the most part, you want driving shoes to be more flexible than offering stability and heavy cushioning. You also want a shoe that is light in weight. Lights and flexible cushioning such as a memory foam layer or an EVA foam layer are acceptable as it provides comfort and support for your feet.
- Outsole – Outsourcing your shoes for driving is extremely important. I. Would advise looking for something like a gum rubber or a regular rubber outsole that is flexible and durable and much more slip resistant. Look for an outsole with a more lug tread or a tread that is patterned, which will offer you a better grip on the pedals of your core. Also, try to avoid very high heels, and rather opt for shoes with a solid sole or a very low heel.
- Fit – You do want to shoe that offers a snug fit, but not to the point where it will squeeze your feet, causing discomfort, which may take your attention away from your driving. You also want to avoid a shoe that may easily slip off feel feet.
